They also come with an elongated design and up to 35 hours of battery life.
These headphones aren't the best for you if you want premium features such as LDAC Bluetooth and Smart Listening, which integrates voice assistants. Also, they don't come with a carrying case or auto-pause feature, and the earcups can't fold and can make them difficult to travel with.
The build quality of the WH-CH720N is decent, but not as great as the 1000XM5. The headband and earcups made of plastic. They're light and comfortable for long periods, but they're not built to withstand intense use or a few falls on hard surfaces. We cued up Missy Elliott's Get Ur Freak On, and the earbuds did an amazing job of highlighting the song's bass-heavy introduction with fervor and enthusiasm. Stormzy's Vossi Bop was a similarly agile listen with the treble playing off the various layered vocals and drums.
Voice quality is top-notch even in noisy surroundings. The earbuds feature the latest Qualcomm chip which ensures background noises, clicks, and other distractions are kept to the bare minimum. This is especially true when you are talking to London Underground during rush hour.
The earbuds' Bluetooth connectivity is also excellent and there were no issues during our testing. They connect quickly and with minimal latency to iOS and Android devices. They are also IPX5 water resistant, so they're perfect for rain and exercise - though you shouldn't put them in water. They come with an enclosure that can hold two quarters and two quarters of charges. This is perfect for travel.
